You need the PIN app to pay

To pay on PINMart you need the PIN app on your phone. It is how you put Kina into your PINMart wallet, and how you take it back out.

Browsing, watching and listing on PINMart do not need the app. Paying does. Read the next part before you go to the app store — the store page is not what most people expect.

Before you go to the app store

Look for the name Pay It Now – PIN Network: That is the app. It is free to install. Follow the link on this page so you land on the right listing, rather than searching the store yourself.
The store page says “crypto”. Read this before you see it.: The first line you will see on that page“Buy, Sell, Exchange and Spend Crypto”; Further down that page it names Bitcoin and other coins. The company shown as the publisher is in New Zealand.; That is what you will see. You have not opened the wrong page.; The app does several different jobs. PINMart uses one of them: a wallet that holds Kina. Everything you do for PINMart is in Kina — you send Kina to your PINMart wallet, and you take Kina back out to your bank. The other features sit there unused. You do not need them, and PINMart will never ask you to open them.
What installing it involves: Installing is free. You set up an account in the app before you can pay.; You do not send money to a seller from the app. You send it to your own PINMart wallet, and it stays yours until you buy something.
Nobody should ever ask you for your password: PINMart will never ask you for your PIN app password, and never for a code sent to your phone. If someone asks you for either one, they are not from PINMart. Tell us at support@pin-mart.com.

The app is not listed on the App Store for Papua New Guinea, so it cannot be installed there. To pay on PINMart you will need an Android phone for now. If that changes, this page will say so.

You will have two wallets

Both hold Kina. Money moves between them, and you always own both.

Your PINMart wallet

Your balance here on the marketplace. You spend it at checkout, it holds the money while a trade completes, and shows credits returned from cancelled orders. New physical and digital sale payments go separately to your PIN app wallet after finance sends them. See your balances on your account page.

Your PIN app wallet

The wallet inside the PIN app. Use it to top up your PINMart wallet, to receive your payouts, and to cash out to your PNG bank.

Start to finish

1Top up: PINMart shows you a QR code. Scan it with the PIN app and pay it. The Kina lands in your PINMart wallet.
2Buy with your PINMart wallet. The money is held — the seller is not paid yet.
3Meet the seller, check the item, then confirm. Only then is the seller paid.
4Selling: your proceeds arrive in your PINMart wallet and settle for 15 days. Your account page shows the exact date you can withdraw them.
5Withdraw whenever you want: ask for your available balance to be paid back to your PIN app wallet, then cash out to your bank.
